Submit an annotated bibliography.
The annotated bibliography must be relevant to your ‘working title’ research proposal.
Critique the source. A good annotation evaluates the quality of the resource. Evaluate its reliability or objectivity. Tell your reader if the source was descriptive or analytical. State which and if this is good or bad in your judgment. Finally, be sure to look for evidence the author may have used to support his or her ideas. (An author whose research is based on only opinion or assumption is not presenting research!)
In addition, the annotated bibliography must include a discussion of the usefulness of a source. In this case, you are providing a reflection of how you used the source in your research.
The kinds of questions you might answer here are:
How useful was this resource in my research?
Did it add to my understanding of the topic?
Was it easy to read?
Are there any useful references to follow up?
How could other researchers use this source?
