The Impact Theory and the Initial Design of the Logic Model for Meals on Wheels America

This assignment has two parts.

1.      In a few sentences to a paragraph, come up with a brief impact theory in narrative form, where you convey how Meals on Wheels America’s activities will translate to its outcomes. You could look up studies that have evaluated the kinds of services offered by the program, mention social scientific research that provides theoretical support for the program and its effects or other literature that is relevant to the program. Based upon previous studies, come with a convincing impact theory to show why this program should work in theory. Cite literature whenever necessary with links. (Note: the Resources Book Section 6. Conducting a Literature Review refreshes your memory of the literature review.)

2.      Based on the impact theory, draft a logic model for Meals on Wheels America. The initial design of the logic model does not have to be perfect. Please comment on and learn from each other’s design. Through the collective effort, I hope the logic model you submitted for grading in the assignment would be much improved. In designing the logic model, you can use whatever computer program or format you would like, as long as inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes are included and the model is clear. (The Moodle course site introduces several templates and software that facilitate the construction of a logic model.)
