The policy I picked was how we can reduce the recividsim by make violent offenders receive counseling, and attend meetings to help them cope throughout life

Students will select a policy that they believe would be beneficial to some aspect of criminal justice. Students will be required to submit a Plan and Budget for this policy following the assigned textbook’s stages of planning and budgeting. This will be in the style noted in the textbook. The paper will present a rough concept and outline a plan for implementing a criminal justice policy/procedure that the student has a passion for implementation, as the assignment will be researched and developed throughout the course. The policy the student selects should interest the student, be linked to a specific aspect of the criminal justice system and require planning and budgeting. The Plan and Budget should at a minimum introduce the desired policy, explain why it is important and how it will affect the criminal justice system. A very basic idea on budgeting should be included. The Plan and Budget assignment will be 40% of the semester grade. The paper will be due according to the class schedule.
