Write a letter briefing a newly-promoted manager (with no previous management experience) about the most important things that they will need to think about and do in order to successfully manage the people reporting to them and for them to build a high-performing team.
The letter might be written to a colleague or friend, or to a direct report who has recently been promoted to a management position. Support your recommendations with principles from the readings, citing models and theories as necessary.

Write a 2000-word paper in a letter format addressed to a newly promoted manager.

The letter should be written in the first person. Describe your personal advice on managing people and building a high-performing team. Draw upon your own experiences and apply and cite concepts, models, frameworks, or theories from the class.
FORMAT
Margins/Font Size: Minimum 1” margins, 12-point font, Times New Roman
Line Spacing: Double, and make good use of headings/subheadings and white space for maximum readability.
References: Use consistent Citations Style to cite all sources in-text. I suggest a footnote or endnote style for the letter. The Reference List can be placed on a separate page (not included in the 2,000-word limit).
