Using your higher-order thinking skills, you will complete a well thought out “read, reflect, and respond (RRR) paper” based on specific readings that are assigned. The RRR papers are intended for you to better understand your own thinking and ground your approach to learning and leadership through on-going opportunities for reflection and analysis.

This week RRR:
Change is not new. Change has been around since the Creation. How we cope with it, what we understand about its impact, and the rate of change are what is different. In this week’s Read, Reflect, and Respond paper, you will examine what happened in the Christian world as the leaders of the church came together in Acts 15 (and its also valuable to read Galatians 2) to think about the impact of non-Jews entering into the Christian faith. Allow the work by J. Lyle Story on the challenge of integration to help set you up to think through the specifics of this change as you reflect on the impact of change and discuss how the Early Church endured a moment of significant change moving from an entirely Jewish group to a group that suddenly was open to disciples of all nations. As you provide your response, think about other change experiences that bear similarity, how might you have responded in the midst of such a change, and how do we understand the implications of our identity in Christ as leaders of change.
