• 1. Discuss the relevance of the main theories that explain the development of reading and the methods of teaching reading that they inform. Provide examples of effective reading strategies for each approach.

 It is a requirement that assignment must be typed. It must be 3-4 pages long.  You are strongly warned against plagiarism (the use of chunks of materials from books and other sources without proper acknowledgement).  Your answer should be in an essay format; thus, you need an introductory paragraph in which you illustrate your understanding of the question as well as how you intend to answer it. Secondly, your essay should have a body in which you will present:  The arguments (the What, How, and Why of your essay). Please avoid telling stories and making unsubstantiated statements (you need to give evidence/substantiate your arguments).  Lastly, your essay should have a conclusion in which you synthesize your core ideas and findings.  In addition to the Power point Presentations from class, you must have at least three other sources. Referencing, both in text and in the Bibliography/Reference section will be considered in the final assessment of your essay. Use APA method when you reference sources.
