America and the World Research assignment

Throughout this unit you will be researching and learning about American foreign policy, specifically in relation to the nation’s decision to remain isolated from global events such as wars or to intervene in them.

Task: Pick an event from this timeline and contextualize and explain why, or why not the United States isolated or intervened in it.

This is to be done in a 3-4 page thesis driven research paper. Your paper needs to be in MLA format with proper MLA citations.

Source requirements:

  • 2 primary sources
  • 2 secondary sources 1 of which must be peer reviewed articles or books from a historian
  • Gale has already been linked for you in Canvas they provide you with access to peer reviewed articles. You can also use OUHSD’s digital library to get access to other research engines.

You are expected to turn in a paper of your own original work and analysis. AI is not to be used in any capacity in the actual writing of your paper.
