In Module 1, you selected an organization for your white paper research project. Now, you will choose a workplace task or work area and identify the associated hazards for your previously identified aviation or aerospace organization.
For this assignment, submit a short two-three paragraph document that identifies the selected aviation or aerospace workplace task or work area. Include, at a minimum:
- Describe why you selected the task or work area for your safety program. Your safety program will likely include several types of tasks, but focus on the one you believe is prevalent, hazardous, and critical to workplace success. For example, Machine Guarding in a Metal Fabrication Shop, Falls in an MRO Hangar, Confined Space in Fuel Systems Repairs, Pressure Hazards in an Aircraft/Aerospace Turbine Shop/, LOTO in Air Traffic Control equipment, etc.
- What types of hazards do you think are associated with this workplace?
- What are the corresponding risks (Links to an external site.)to the task/work area hazards? (List them and rank them – highest to lowest)
Review all the Research Project Overview instructions to understand better the project that will be accomplished in phases during the term, with the final submission due in Module 9.
