The Family First Prevention Service Act aims to align federal policy and funding on What works best for families and children depending on their situation/ circumstances. According to “Mentoring Former Foster Youth Through Life” (2024), “Every year in our country, an estimated 21,000 young men and women between the ages of 18-21 age out of foster care unconnected to a family or any caring stable adult”(para 1). These are some of the things that can help children who are getting displaced from their current home. Value-Based Care and Family First Prevention Services Act are two agency that proposed to improve the outcome of children foster care. Healthcare providers play a role in supporting this effort, but the understanding differs from one another fully.
