“A Comparison/Contrast of the Literary Techniques used in A Doll’s House and The Glass Menagerie.Description:
Throughout your educational career, there will be many instances in which you will be asked to write a “Compare/Contrast” essay. “Compare/Contrast” writing analyzes the similarities and differences between two or more things (distinctions) of one topic, in several categories; consequently, the approach to this essay is very systematic and must be carefully planned.
This week you will select FOUR “Elements of Dramatic Analysis” and compare (find similarities) as well as contrast (find differences) in how those four elements were used by the authors to create the literary masterpieces of A Doll’s House and The Glass Menagerie.
This is a “Literary Essay”; therefore, you MUST INCLUDE QUOTES from the TWO texts of the two plays that will prove your analysis. Do not simply make sweeping, general statements that are not grounded in quotes from the characters in the two plays.
