Paper Will Address
the Following:
A generation is a cohort
of people born and raised around the same time. The theory is that each generation has shared values,
characteristics, and views of the world due to the way formative experiences –
such as world events or technological, economic, and social shifts – interact
with their lifecycle. This impacts their behavior and expectations as
consumers. The same thinking applies to
the way different generations consume sports.
From the Silent
Generation to Generation Alpha, please address the following:
1.
What
years does the Generation span? (Example: Baby Boomers: 1946-1954)
2.
What was
the primary platform/device for sports media consumption?
3.
What
were the innovations or technical advancements made during each Generation?
4.
What
were the sports media consumption rates and tendencies during the different
Generations?
5.
How did
sports media, overall, change from one generation to the next?
6.
Were the
changes in technology and consumption significant?
