Instructions & Prompts to Respond to:
Pull from previous readings or assignments to help draft a Personal Globalization Interface Aesthetic (PGIA) ***This is literally just an essay paper, but comprising the following elements, as you interpret them.
1. Personal: This is simply You and your identity. Who are you? Please include some brief information about you and your identity in this essay. This can be anything from your race, ethnicity, gender, geographical birthplace, political leanings, anything that is relevant and important to include–helping to contextualize your potential to participate in a global society, and setting up how factors external to you have impacted you.
2. Globalization: Frame a context of Globalization and how Global Issues have affected you in some way. Use terms and definitions from our readings and your assignments, but please make them real and concrete by sharing how and when they showed/show up in your real life.
3. Interface Aesthetic: Where and how have you noticed Aesthetic changes with regard to how Global Issues impact you, in a pre-COVID versus post-COVID context? *That is, how were you interfacing with increased globalization before the COVID pandemic hit, compared to how you do now? This could be anything from how you make money, to how you spend money, or even how you conceptualize money to yourself or within some group you belong to. This could be with regard to how we spend time either alone or in groups, how our families have been impacted, and/or how we socialize with others in any private or public capacity. “Aesthetic” here, simply implies how you have physically perceived all of these changes–how they actually impacted or compelled your embodied, cognitive-linguistic experience as a human participant.
