Advocate for the Adoption of Improved Cybersecurity Policies, Strategies, and Related Operations

This week you learned about advocating for the adoption of improved cybersecurity policies, strategies, and related operations. This assignment is designed to support your application of that knowledge. Specifically, you will design a presentation to a fictitious board of directors at your case study organization to make the case for the development of policies, performance metrics, the calculation of risk, and the tracking of the return on investment for risk reduction initiatives after inclusion in the strategic plan.

Instructions

1. Select an enterprise-scale organization and industry of belonging based on governance, risk, and compliance or your research interests. If desired, you can use the organization you used as your case study for all the prior assignments in the course.
2. Create and present a persuasive presentation (assume the audience is the Board of Directors of the organization and use PowerPoint with audio voiceover or Kaltura recording as desired) that justifies the need to adopt improved cybersecurity policies and resources for operations to reduce risk in the organization based on the industry of belonging.
3. Provide detailed information regarding the quantification of different metrics to measure performance outcomes based on calculated risk and return on investment for risk reduction initiatives.
4. Include a cyber maturity model that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization. 
5. Review the academic research regarding advocating for the adoption of improved cybersecurity policies and resources for operations to reduce risk. Write a problem statement that identifies a gap in the literature. Select an appropriate theory that could be advanced through future research efforts and detail the solving of the problem as related to practical applications of cybersecurity.  

Length: 16 slides with notes pages (200-350 words per slide) and audio voiceover in PowerPoint (or Kaltura), not including title and reference slides.
