American Psychological Association’s (APA) Top 20 Principles from Psychology for PreK-12 Teaching and Learning.

*My presentation should be on APA Principle 11

Essential Components of the Presentation

(1) Describe the learning principle and its implications for teaching. The description should incorporate information from APA’s Top 20 Principles.

(2) Integrate information from at least two additional scholarly resources, such as journal articles. Include full citations.

(3) Explain how the learning principle substantially relates to at least one-course concept.

(4) Design and describe a short learning activity that demonstrates the principle. The activity must assume the active participation of classmates, teachers or 7-12 students.

(5) Provide examples of how the learning principle was observed during fieldwork experiences and/or how the principle could be applied to presenters’ certification areas.

(6) Develop five multiple-choice questions that will assess classmates’ understanding of key ideas of your presentation.

Presentation style: Presenters should communicate information clearly in an organized and engaging manner. All visuals used during the presentation should be easy-to-read (e.g., appropriate font size and color), contain minimal text (e.g., brief bulleted points), and use appropriate and effective images.
