The largest influence on a project achieving its agreed objectives /outcomes after the financial investment decision is the management of change. All projects undergo change, and change management is significant because the impact of change is always underestimated.
You are required to analyse the project and prepare a report for a company executive. A typical structure is as follows:
• executive summary-an overview of the whole project starting with the objective and finishing with the results and recommendations (typically 2 pages)
• table of contents
• introduction-Addressing the background, problem statement and objectives (i.e. the airport’s objectives)
• scope-What is in and what is excluded from the project
• results-Key results of the analysis of the changes and change management process
• conclusions and recommendations for your next project
• Note: This is the most important part, as it demonstrates an understanding of the management of change
• methodology and analysis of data
• acknowledgements
• references (including a list of figures, abbreviations, tables, etc. if applicable)
• appendices (if required).
