1.Summarize the main points made by Chapters 2 and 3 of the Rapley text. Based on his analysis AND the class video lecture for Module IV give your own analysis of the ISI strategy – Why did some states see greater success with the approach than others?

2. Summarize the main points made by Chapters 4 and 5 of the Rapley text. Based on what you have learnt of the challenges of development that were faced by the developing countries what were the negative impacts of structural adjustment policies? To what extent, if at all, were the policies based on structural adjustment justified and/or successful.

3. Summarize the main points made by Chapters 6 and 7 of the Rapley text. What are the main economic challenges faced by the developing countries in the post structural development era. In your opinion does the state have a role to play in countries which are not economically developed. Justify your answer based on what you have learnt in the course so far.
