Create an original thesis based on this topic:
How do these two novels deal with the issues of identity, self-awareness and family? How do concepts such as gender, nationality and economics help develop each novel’s theme? What experimental techniques are utilized by each author?
Then research academic sources that pertain to/support/prove your thesis. You will also use textual evidence to support your literary analysis. Since you will be writing about two different novels in one paper, you will have quite a few sources. Requirements include:

A fully developed thesis that includes information on your topic and the names/authors of both novels

Quotes and references that are parenthetically cited from 2-3 academic secondary sources for each novel, for a total of 4-6 secondary sources

Textual evidence in the form of quotations that are parenthetically cited from each of the novels being analyzed

A complete MLA formatted works cited, as well as MLA formatting for the paper itself and the parenthetical in-text citations. Include the 4-6 secondary sources and both works.
