Analyze Licensure Requirements for Different States to Advance Practice Effectiveness

Social workers understand the value base of the profession and its ethical standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations that may impact practice at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Furthermore, social workers understand that evidence that informs practice derives from multi-disciplinary sources and multiple ways of knowing. For this assignment, you will examine the licensure requirements of four different states of your choosing. These states should be from different regions of the country. 

Social workers understand the history and current structures of social policies and services, the role of policy in service delivery, and the role of practice in policy development.  Analyze the state policies and regulations which govern licensure levels and requirements for each of your selected states. The revised NASW Code of Ethics contains new content on how social workers must also understand emerging forms of technology and the ethical use of technology in social work practice.  Analyze how these state policies and regulations address strategies for using technology ethically and appropriately to facilitate practice outcomes.  To complete this task, create a table where you list each of the states and include the following:

• Document the state statute or legislation that created social work licensure. Include the specific statute (including number) and the language of the policy. Remember that social workers recognize the importance of evaluating processes and outcomes to advance practice, policy, and service delivery effectiveness.
• Provide the education requirements for each licensure level. 
• Indicate all other requirements for licensure at each level. 
• Confirm whether social workers are allowed to bill for services with the license and if so, include the billing rates for each of the licensure levels. 
• Recommend suggestions for how you believe the licensure rules should be changed. 
• Support your assignment with at least three resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
