Yes, the module is asking us to write an abstract (also known as proposal) for one of our questions we chose as the research topic. In most formal articles/essays they summarise their topic at the beginning of the article. It is similar to an introduction and conclusion combined, usually stating the question you ask and the answer. My chosen article has an abstract at the beginning which I am using as a guide on how to do it but the professor also included an example in the module.
