Anticipated Team Dynamics Overview
Successful and astute leaders recognize the need to properly plan, prepare, and present with a focus and understanding of the people involved. As the expert of your Case Study, you are best prepared to list and recognize all of the stakeholders involved and their perspectives.
We prepared you for this exercise by having you complete your Governmental Entity Observation Participation Form (located in the Capstone Case Study Project module) that required you to look into their skill sets, personalities, hobbies, and duties associated with the governing bodies/individuals you were going to present to. The advantage to this exercise was for you to begin to think about how all these different people/perspectives work together, and for you to think how you may be able to improve on the positive team synergy of these stakeholders as they become engaged in your Capstone Case Study Project.

Team dynamics is defined as the unconscious, psychological forces that influence the direction of a team’s behavior and performance. How a team interacts, communicates, and works together has a dramatic impact on how successful a team is in meeting its goals.
The seven characteristics of winning team dynamics:
- Shared Purpose
- Trust and Openess
- Willingness to Correct Mistakes
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Interdependence and a Sense of Belonging
- Consensus Decision Making
- Participative Leadership
This exercise, if done correctly, will enhance the overall acceptance of your Capstone Case Study and, at a minimum, plant a seed for potential implementation.
