Background for Case assignment:
You have just begun working as an assistant director for one
of the service lines for an 800-bed acute care hospital (based on your own
background and interests, I will let you select the service line which will
inform this paper). Within the first few weeks of your employment the director
approaches you to tell you that he needs you to undertake a research project.
For this paper, you will come up with a problem that may impact the service
line you are working for (as described above) and develop a paper in which you:
-describe the service line you have decided to work for.
-Discuss the focus of the research project you have been
asked to undertake (be creative- tell me a problem that the department may be
having)
-Describe how research on the problem you identified could
help your department with the problem you have identified (above)
-Identify sources of data that you will use to gather
information about your identified problem
-List at least 3 research questions that you would like to
answer that can help you solve the problem you have identified.
