BackgroundThe conflict that emerges in family businesses is unique since there is an emotional and deep sentimental value in the family dynamics. There are two main issues that emerge when exploring the family business. First, understanding how the conflicts are linked to owners, managers, and the entities of the family. This analysis generally finds more than one conflict or overlapping conflicts. Second, when designing a conflict resolution approach, ownership, management roles, and the entities must be considered for a successful resolution. Apply tools that have been identified to understand and help handle family business conflicts. Review chapter 4, video #2, PowerPoints, and additional research. InstructionsThis assignment has two parts (submit one consolidated Word document): Part IAssess one of the family businesses from Module 1, a new company, or your own company.
Part IIThe company employees (family and nonfamily) are nervous from the conflict within the family members. Develop a memo to ease the tension and reassure the employees that a process is in place for any future conflicts.
