Assignment 4: Create National Cybersecurity Policies Catering for Central and Distributed Locations

This week you learned about creating national cybersecurity policies that support central and distributed organization locations. This assignment is designed to support your application of that knowledge. Specifically, you will perform research into information sharing needs between central and distributed locations and challenges that occur. A solution relevant to a case study organization will be created through the rearrangement of key cybersecurity policies.

Instructions

Select an enterprise-scale organization and industry of belonging based on governance, risk, and compliance or your research interests. If desired, you can use this organization as your case study for all the assignments in the course.

1. Write a paper that clearly articulates a problem statement in the topic area of national cybersecurity policies that are designed to support the workers’ information sharing needs between central and distributed locations.
2. Contextualize the problem based on a specific case study organization and the industry of belonging. Using information obtained from scholarly sources, synthesize the recommendations and viewpoints provided by a variety of experts in the cybersecurity field.
3. Provide a detailed interpretation of the literature reviewed and a related synthesis of your conclusions and subsequent recommendations for solutions to the problem.
4. Create a rearranged set of key cybersecurity policies (specifying type and purpose) to support information sharing for central and distributed locations of the organization based on the industry of belonging. Specifically, what aspects of the policies reduce risk and provide value to the organization with many locations and is an innovator in the industry?
5. Explain how these policy improvements add insights to cybersecurity research in facilitating information sharing between central and distributed locations.
