Assignment title: Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) Prevalence Data Trends and Analysis

Instructions for Students

  1. select a county of interest and comparison state and review the various trend data according to the demographic groups available.
  1. Look for patterns or trends in the data (e.g., differences in quality of life by gender or race).
  1. Select 5 patterns and compare the county of interest with the state.
Example of patterns: Health behaviors: diet/exercise, alcohol/drug/tobacco, clinical care (access to care), health outcomes: Length of life.
For example, you may choose these 5 health indicators:
a. Quality of life, diet/exercise, alcohol/drug tobacco, quality of care, and access to care.
  1. Search for and review additional articles on the identified trends (see https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/index.htmlone possible resource to find articles).
  1. Write a paper (3-4 pages) outlining the observed trends and how they compare to national estimates. Provide a potential explanation or argument for the observed trends, incorporating the reviewed literature to support your argument. Include recommendations for future research.
the 5 articles are supposed to be additional info on your 5 patterns… they do not have to be specific to the county / state. ie you’re looking at obesity in passaic county vs NJ state.. One article can be about obesity causes in general.
