Athlete Centered Strength, Conditioning, and Performance Enhancement Final Assignment

This assignment is a culmination of all of the previously submitted assignments, using the feedback to create the final assignment. This assignment will not be cut and paste from previous assignments, but will be formatted to fit the established needs as a strength, conditioning, and performance enhancement coach. Experience and previous assignments lay the groundwork to Plan, Teach, Assess, and Adapt strength, conditioning, and performance enhancement to promote athlete centered sport and skill development, future success, and lifetime physical fitness and activity.


Provide an academic title page

Introduce your project with a formal introduction (2-5 paragraphs, 3-5 sentences each) that showcases to the reader the direction of the project and spell out all major points that will be covered. Use a hook sentence and a solid thesis statement to align your ideas, so as to present a clear concept to the reader.

Create and present your personal coaching philosophy (2-5 paragraphs, 3-5 sentences each)

    • use your identified teaching style, the NASPE core responsibilities, and the codes of ethics from NSCA and NASM for guidance.
Identify and list the following: (this section, unless advised to be adjusted, can be cut and pasted from Assignment 1.)

  • University Location and Demographics – previous season’s record, ranking, or both.

Sport Performance Assessment: Identify and list updated Sports Performance Initial Assessments you will conduct to evaluate your chosen athlete’s conditioning, performance, and training needs. Use feedback from assignments 1 and 2, and Discussion week 3 for ideas on what to and how to update your Sports Performance Initial Assessment Protocol.

  • Discuss rationale behind Sports Performance Initial Assessment Protocol. (2-5 paragraphs, 3-5 sentences each)

Develop an annual periodization plan based on the team/athlete’s annual competition schedule.

  • Identify periodization cycles using specific titles and dates.
  • Define all cycles provide rational for timing choices.
  • When will you schedule the Sports Performance Initial Assessments throughout the year? Provide rationale for your decision. Be specific regarding periodization cycles.
  • Within each cycle, identify OPT phase of training and all variables within each phase.
Describe and showcase your record keeping plan for all data collected. How will you keep track of objectives, outcomes, and notes on your team/athlete.

Establish a clear and formal Conclusion for your project. (2-5 paragraphs, 3-5 sentences each) Remind the reader where the discussion began and concluded. Revisit topics discussed and how the thesis of the project was addressed. No new ideas should be presented at this point only future plans or direction.

Provide a formal reference page for each item directly cited within your project.

APA 7th edition Formatting is required.

Requirements:

The narrative of your paper should be a minimum of 5 written pages (not including title and reference pages and any training charts);  Please support the rationale for your thoughts and opinions. Cite the sources of any definitions or ideas that are not your own using appropriate academic sources. Bullet points and spacing are appropriate for this assignment.

The writing component must meet all rules of APA formatting (7th edition)
