Describe the group, including date, time, location, topic. Discuss the topic of the meeting and give some examples of the work done by the facilitator to provide support to the group members. Give examples of communication techniques used to foster rapport or trust. Also identify assertive vs aggressive communication along with therapeutic and/or blocks to therapeutic communication techniques. Write these examples on 1 page type written, double spaced.
• Also in a (second) one page, type written, double spaced paper, discuss your personal feelings about support groups. You may include what preconceived ideas you may have had before you attended and what you think now, along with any positive or negative feelings about the effectiveness of the group.
