For this final assignment, you must write an argumentative research essay that is 7 full pages long. The topic must be related to social media .The Works Cited can not be included in the 7 pages. In other words, your actual paper must be 7 full pages and your Works Cited must come after that. The paper must be double spaced, use Times New Roman 12 point font with 1 inch margins. Your paper must follow all MLA formatting guidelines. In your paper, you must write a clear thesis (final sentence in paragraph one) and support that thesis with solid arguments and research.
You will be graded on the following, but please review the rubric for further details:
1. A clear, argumentative thesis is the final sentence of paragraph one. One of the following words must be included in your thesis: “should”, “must” or “needs” If one of these words is not used, your grade will be marked down.
2. Each topic sentence in the main body of the paper must make an argument in support of the thesis. Please underline or put in bold font the focus of each main body topic sentence. For example:
Social media has brought an an epidemic of cyberbullying that has damaged the lives of many.
3. All content in the main body paragraphs must support the focus of the topic sentence from each paragraph. Each main body paragraph must contain research to support your argument. Any main body paragraph missing research will lost significant points.
4. At least Seven (10) sources must be used. At least one source per main body argument or two must be given to support the argument in that paragraph. More makes your paper stronger.
5. MLA formatting must be used for all in-text citations. Both direct quotes and paraphrasing are required.
6. Grammar and spelling mistakes are not present.
7. No first person is used (I, me, we, us, our, my)
7. Logos, Ethos, and Pathos are clearly used. (the use of facts and statistics (logos), credible sources and experts (ethos), and emotional persuasion (pathos).

9. An MLA Works Cited is included and MLA formatted. This is not part of the seven pages of the essay.
