This assignment has 2 parts:
Essay 1: What makes the field of biogeochemistry so difficult vis a vis other sciences with respect to testing hypotheses? What are the primary components of biogeochemistry we’ve discussed so far that were not sufficiently incorporated into early climate change models and the types of tables we’ve discussed several times in class? To this end I am also looking for you to convey the assumptions/rules/laws that climate models adhered to that have proven to be false or far less than certain than previously assumed? (700 words minimum).
Essay 2: Describe for me examples of negative and positive feedback loops we’ve discussed in class to date as it relates to the cycling of C, N, or P? (500 words minimum)
