1. Choose a Black Nationalist leader from the US, the Caribbean or Africa and discuss that leader’s contribution to the black nationalist struggle.
Why define that leader as a black nationalist? In your opinion, was he or she a transnational figure? What impact did he or she have on the Pan African movement?
2. Compare and contrast the philosophies and ideas of W. E. B. Dubois and Booker T. Washington. How did their ideas influence the Black Nationalist Movement of the twentieth century?
3. Some scholars have argued that women have not been given equal recognition for their contribution to the black nationalist struggle.
