- Slide 1 (Title slide): The title should be the APA reference for the article you are doing with your name at the bottom.
- Slide 2: Who the participants were? Explain where they were (e.g., 230 male Spanish university with an average age of X, they way they were recruited, etc. This slide will be essentially the participant section of the paper you are talking about, but do not plagiarize it.
- Slide 3: What they did? Explain how the data was collected. Remember if they are studying cardiovascular disease, you will need to talk about that. However, the important part for us is body image perception and most of your explanation should be about the way they measured body image perception.
- Slide 4: What they found? Again, you will report their purpose if it was something other than body image perception accuracy, but your major emphasis should be on body image accuracy and whether they found that people overestimated or underestimated their body size.
- Slide 5: What it means for us? We are only concerned about body image perception accuracy. We do not care if people are happy they are fat, if they are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease, etc. This slide should explain what we might find based on the results of the paper you are talking about. For example, “Smith and Jones (2030) found that both women and men underestimated their body size. Therefore, on might expect both women and men at an HBCU to underestimate their body sizes.”
