Below, you will find more details of what you will submit to fulfill the requirements above. Please see the guidelines in the following section for more details and see the rubric to understand how you will be graded.

- an interactive screencast lecture on the topic you are teaching your students AND
- a Kahoot quiz related to the topic you are teaching
- Submit the links to your screencast and interactive video at the beginning of the essay you will write in the next section.
2. Write a 3-5 page essay:
- Choose any topic that you want to share with your students (in a future class that you might teach). The topic must be academically based.
- Articulate a theory of learning and/or a research base supporting your philosophy of learning and instruction that relates to your approach to teaching the topic. In other words, describe your approach to teaching this topic and support this approach with relevant research and theories of learning and teaching.
- Describe how and why a blended learning model could support your pedagogical vision, theory of learning, and instructional approach.
- A description of your pedagogical vision, theory of learning, and research base, for the instructional design decisions that you make.
- Use proper academic language and syntax throughout your essay.
- Make sure your description of your pedagogical vision, theory of learning, and research base, for the instructional design decisions that you make is clear, logical, and well supported with evidence from your readings, videos, fieldwork, discussions, and own research.
- Clearly argue for the use of blended learning and support your argument with evidence from your readings, videos, fieldwork, discussions, and own research.
- You must use at least three (3) readings assigned for the class as part of your rationale paper. You may utilize course videos and outside research as needed.
- Cite every source you use appropriately using APA or MLA formats.
- Format: double-spaced, 1 inch margins, with 12 pt. font (Times or Courier only).
- Clearly identify yourself at the beginning of the essay (any format will suffice)
- Insert page numbers based on APA or MLA formats.
3. Design a blended learning experience (2-3 pages):
The learning experience should support your pedagogical vision, theory of learning, and research base, for the instructional design decisions that you make. It must include:
- A diagram of the learning experience or activity connected to your chosen topic (1 page ONLY ). Note: This is just a diagram. You do not need to explain how students will navigate through the activities here. You can do that in the next section of this final paper.
- A description of how students will navigate through the activities (1-2 pages).
- Design a learning experience that blends online and face-to-face activities to teach the topic. It can be for any group of students, grade level, subject matter, class size, etc. The learning experience should incorporate the technologies we’ve used and learned about throughout this course.
- Identify specific learning objectives for your students that are related to the topic and learning experience that you designed.
- The learning experience MUST include the following elements:
- Learning objectives that are relevant for your student group and the topic you are teaching them. Clearly state them at the top of the diagram. (3 minimum)
- Face-to-face activity or activities
- Online activities
- A Kahoot Quiz (which I will make)
