Paper should be in a professional format (APA not required) and references should be appropriately annotated in the text and in a reference section at the end of the paper (APA, MLA, Chicago, or other styles are acceptable). References count towards word count.
It does not matter to me which software you use for the graphics. The point for the graphics is that analysts deal with the raw data and information, but the decision makers need the data manipulated into visuals they can make sense from. Tables and Figures (graphics) help the analyst tell the story. These can be flow charts, graphic depictions of models, data graphs, tables that consolidate qualitative/quantitative information, etc. Please use the software you are most familiar with.
