(General Case Instructions)
Each student will be required to submit 2 pages (page restriction will be strictly observed), double-spaced, 12-pt. font typewritten case analysis (TEXT only not including references). If you use references besides your textbook, this can be placed on page 3. If using references (NOT REQUIRED), adhere to APA style. Please note that because of the strict page restriction, most students’ analysis will be focused on the facts provided in your case text and textbook materials. You are not required to review external sources. But, if you want to, please review peer-reviewed journal articles and books. Refrain from using online sources such as Wikipedia, Investopedia, Business Dictionary, etc. I do not give credit for these sources. I frown upon the use of internet websites as references and rarely give credit for them!!!
To guide you in your case analysis, be sure to read the appropriate chapters and review the discussion questions provided at the end of the case. The discussion questions will often help frame your analysis. Submit your answers to the questions found at the end of each case’s text.
Each case is worth 100 points. With respect to APA formatting, I am only concerned with your formatting with respect to in-text citations (references) and your reference page. You do not have to provide an abstract, use headings in a certain way, or anything else that the guidelines I gave you state. Just use the guidelines for your references. So you don’t have to create any account in Turnitin.com prior to being submitted to the appropriate dropboxes.
IMPORTANT POINT #1: It’s not required to review outside sources, but if you do please refer to peer- reviewed sources as you can find to back up your analyses and opinions.
IMPORTANT POINT #2: Proofread your analysis before sending it to me. You can also send your papers to the online writing center available through the school and they can help you develop your writing skills. Clear and effective communication is a vital management skill.
IMPORTANT POINT #3: Please review the grading rubric for case analysis in the syllabus and is copied at the end of document too.
