Policy Practice Readiness and Attitudes Self-Assessment (Post-Assessment)
Why
During this course, we have applied the concepts proposed by Pawar (2019) in the Three Ps model of Policy Practice. The course materials and assignments were designed to support your capacity-building to engage in policy practice. As we near the end of the course, it is time to evaluate your capacity growth.
What
Just as you did in Module 1, you will complete a self-assessment on your policy practice readiness and attitudes. However, this time you will complete the Policy Practice Readiness and Attitudes Self-Assessment (Post-Assessment)
, and then reflect on your results by answering the following prompts:
- Were you surprised by your results? Why or Why not?
- What links can you make between your educational and professional experiences and your general attitudes toward policy practice? For example, have you had opportunities to engage in policy analysis, development, or advocacy for policy change throughout your career?
- How do you perceive the integration of policy analysis and advocacy into your current practice?
Please note:
-
- The entry for this assignment should be three (3) to five (5) pages, including the one-page self-assessment.
- Your answers to the reflection prompts should be double-spaced.
The entry is a reflection log grounded in your course materials. As delineated in the rubric, you want to demonstrate critical thought by making insightful connections between the course readings and practice, building upon the learning with your practice experiences.
