I have attached a screenshot of all the instructions for the essay.
The essay needs to be at least 3 pages, but it can go over 3 pages if necessary. Each paragraph just needs at LEAST 10 sentences.
In-text citations are a must. She requires page and paragraph numbers with each in-text citation. There must be an in-text citation for EVERY piece of information pulled from a source.
Please follow the instructions as closely as possible because she is very strict about everything she requires.
This essay is a Comparison/Contrast Essay on Big Bend National Park and Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
It must have ONE introduction paragraph, an overview paragraph on one of the national parks, an overview paragraph on the other national park, THREE paragraphs that each cover a different contrast point between the two national parks, a paragraph discussing the similiarities of the two national parks, and a conclusion paragraph. I also need a Works Cited page at the end.
The introduction paragraph must start with a HOOK SENTENCE, then go into general information, then go to the PURPOSE STATEMENT, then to the THESIS STATEMENT. Each body paragraph must start with a TOPIC SENTENCE, and end with a TRANSITION SENTENCE. The conclusion paragraph must have a restatement of the thesis at the beginning.
The essay MUST be COLOR-CODED. I will list how to do so.
Hook Sentence: yellow
Purpose statement: purple
Thesis statement: red
Topic sentences: blue
Transition sentences: green
I have attached the Venn Diagram I have made for the essay. If possible, please somewhat follow along with it, but if you can make anything better in the essay than what I put in the Venn Diagram, please do that instead. I just have the Venn diagram as something you can use, since I turned it into my professor already and she graded it 105/100.
I do not have a Works Cited page already made. At the end of the screenshot showing the instructions it shows the number of sources required. I have 4 of the sources I used for the Venn diagram, and I will list them below this paragraph. The two NPS links are the two official website links for the two national parks of my selection: Big Bend and Great Smokey Mountains. The other two links can be considered as 2 reputable links, so that means I will need you to choose TWO more reputable articles as sources, and ONE scholarly article. Please make sure the scholarly article is actually a scholarly article.
