Full Topic: Compare the writings of two or three women writers from the period 1000-1800 CE and from at least two
different world regions. Write about how being a woman influenced their take on history, while also describing how
their specific cultural environment and personal social status influenced their writing. You can choose other writers
from the period 1000-1800 CE too if you wish to support your argument but you must include at least two of the
writers from our assigned readings
word count does not include the footnotes-or-endnotes and a bibliography which is also required as part of the paper.
When “world regions” is referenced it means, as in the syllabus, East Asia, South Asia, Islamic world, Europe,
Africa, the Americas, and the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Your paper must include some outside published academic
research from the library or its research links such as JSTOR ( https://www.jstor.org ) but must also include use of
and specific reference to the textbook and assigned items from course webpage. You must cite all sources you use
for information, including the textbook and assigned items. You may not cite Wikipedia in your
paper. Evaluate the character and perspectives/biases of all of your sources by asking of them who is writing to
whom, when, where and why, and evaluating the answer. Use the notes and bibliography style from the Chicago
Manual of Style for footnote/endnote citation style and for your bibliography style. You can find a quick guide with
examples at https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-1.html. Read and reread these
paper directions carefully. Exact use of language is as important to history writing as exact
use of numbers is to the physical sciences. Give your paper an interesting title. Number pages.
