Introduction
We interact with groups throughout our day: our families, our friends, our coworkers, our classmates, and many more. In this course, you will explore how people interact in groups. You will explore why groupwork can sometimes be difficult, how groups form and the initial aspects of groups. You will learn how these dynamics can have long-term effects and the stages groups grow and develop over time.
As you move through this course, think about how these concepts relate to your own life and experiences.
Overview
What better way to study group dynamics than to be part of a group? Throughout this course, you will be applying what you are learning to your experiences in a group in your life. These can include: work groups, social groups, family groups, virtual groups—any group that involves people interacting.
