For your annotated bibliography assignment, you should have 8 sources, each with an individual annotation similar in logic to the example shown above. Two primary sources and six secondary sources. The two primary sources can be a mix of articles, videos, etc. that have been created in the last two years about your research, current-event topic.
I suggest that you divide your annotation into the following logical format:
- give the citation itself (properly formatted)
- explain the news source purpose/author experience, etc.
- present which ideas, information are most important within this source
- explain (clearly and unambiguously) how this information will appear in your paper and for what purpose to your research project
If you do these three four things, the annotation should be as long as the example I provided. Repeat this process for each citation.
You probably should look at https://columbiacollege-ca.libguides.com/MLA9Links to an external site. to make sure you format the heading, title, and order of the annotations. An example of an annotated bibliography exists on this page (and others on the Web).
