For this assignment, read “The Guidelines for Action and Skill Development” at the end of Chapter 12 and Leadership Case Problem A: “Cultural Sensitivity at Pacific Pods” at the end of Chapter 14. Reflecting on the reading in Chapters 12 and 14, you will write a 2- to 4-page opinion essay answering the questions below to guide your analysis of connecting communication with culturally diverse and inclusive aspects of leadership.
- What is your evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of Ava’s cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness?
- What suggestions can you offer Ava to be even more effective in displaying cultural sensitivity and increase inclusivity?
- Did you find any of Ava’s four cultural sensitivity initiatives to be offensive? Explain why you believe her initiatives were or were not offensive.
- What can Ava do to become a more effective team leader?
- How does this case study add to or change your thoughts on leadership and improve your own leadership skills?
Answers to the questions should be in the format of an opinion essay. The paper should be 2–4 pages, not including title and reference pages. Use a minimum of two scholarly sources to support your work, one of which can be your textbook.
Your written work should be highly developed and include a sustained viewpoint and purpose.
