You need to complete the cover sheet with your individual details (DoNOT include your name: use your student number ONLY) then proceed to answer thequestions in the Court Visit Report.The downloaded blank Court Visit Report consists of three sections. Each section containsa number of questions. Complete your answer below each question. Please note eachsection details how the marks are allocated. This will help you to determine the level ofdetail required for your answer.All sections of the form must be completed where appropriate and if a section is notappropriate then the reasons must be stated. For example: you did not have theopportunity to observe a sentencing hearing.It is also good academic practice to answer the questions in the Court Report Visit usingthe third person. Please try to avoid the use of ‘I’. For example: the visit to the Court hasenabled the writer to ….‘; rather than ‘by completing the court report I have learnt ….’.Your Court Visit Report needs to be double-spaced and in Arial 12 font.OSCOLA and footnotes should be used where relevant to support your answers.Remember this is an academic piece of work and will be marked accordingly.A Bibliography should also be included at the end of the Court Visit Report which followsthe OSCOLA rules. This can be found on the last page of the downloaded Court VisitReport regarding how the relevant sections should be set out.All of the above details will be explained throughout the duration of the module.12The word limit for the Court Visit Report is up to 3,000 words.Please note the word limit include footnotes. However, excludes the bibliography andquestions contained in the report.
