Aims and objectives
This course enables students to understand how campaigns are used to deliver communications, public relations and behaviour change goals or objectives to influence change in the wider world. It draws upon a wide range of processes, strategies and tools, from community organizing through to gaining social capital and using storytelling as well as conventional media. The course provides learners with a broad range of skills to effectively influence the behaviours of others, analysing the impact of campaigning techniques, both online and offline. Students will learn to create their own strategy-led PR and communications campaigns from scratch through developing a campaign pitch. They will understand the ethical and legal considerations campaigners operate within.
Task
Individual case study. Create a blog post reviewing a PR and Communications campaign, breaking down and explaining its insight, goals, objectives and supporting programme. (1,000 words)

Research the topic thoroughly, aim to support your arguments with evidence, using appropriate terminology to your discipline.
