To Prepare for this Discussion:
- Review the Learning Resources on creating a treatment plan. Pay particular attention to the content about identifying problems and creating goals and objectives.
- Re-visit the interactive media, “Katie: Treatment Plan Example.” Consider how the information from Katie’s assessments was used to create her treatment plan. In addition, pay particular attention to how the plan is formatted.
- Go to the interactive media, “Week 3 Case Study: Reggie.” Review Reggie’s biopsychosocial assessment results and his Strengths, Needs, Abilities, and Preferences form.
- Based on what you learned about Reggie, identify three problems that he is experiencing. Think about which problems should be addressed first.
- Create one goal and one objective for each problem you identified.
