Choose one of the case studies (Tamsin or Calum). You must critically analyse the impact of one of the Adverse childhood experiences and one of the influencing factors on life chances. please consider the following in your assessment:
- Step One: Provide a brief context for the child you are studying and the setting
Be sure to provide a basic context for selecting this child and other important factors such as the setting, as well as describing the child’s unique characteristics and needs.
- Step Two: Write about the child’s family/ environment
Think about:
The child’s family (structure, roles, siblings, parents, ages, occupations, geographical location, accommodation etc.)
The child’s community, values and culture? Will this have an impact on the child’s needs and/ or their life chances?
- Step Three: What are your insights into the child’s needs?
What factors/ issues does your child have? Explain these factors in full.
- Step Four: What did you learn about the child’s family and community?
Discuss what you could learn about the family and community factors that might impact the child’s life chances, development and learning?
Such as, how this will impact the child’s education, physical/ mental health, environment etc?
