Formatting and Preparation
The following formatting specifications for the Final assignment are recommended:
- Assignment title is reproduced on the first page along with your candidate number.
- 1.5 or double line spacing
- Size 12 font in Times New Roman or Arial
- Left justified with a 2.5 margin
- Include page numbers
- Include a word count
- Word or PDF file format
Referencing should conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. All references cited in the text should be in the reference list. Digital Object Identifiers are not required.
Thomas et al. (2019)* write that “translation from neuroscience research to education is difficult”. Critically evaluate some of the challenges of translating neuroscience research to education. Where do you consider that progress is being made in this translational endeavour (please discuss 2-3 areas), and where is it not being made (discuss 2-3 areas)?

The word limit is 3,000 words +10% (this includes in-text citations but not the reference list). You will be penalised for going over this limit.
Referencing and plagiarism
When finalising any written assignment, it is essential that you pay proper attention to referencing and the use of citations. Plagiarism is taken very seriously at UCL.
Please remember that:
- All direct quotations from another author’s work must be placed in quotation marks and cited correctly by providing the author name, date, and page number.
- All data, ideas, or lines of argument, which you appropriate from another author (even if you do not use their exact words), must be acknowledged and referenced correctly.
- You also need to ensure you do not plagiarise your own work (self-plagiarism). You cannot include material that you have written and submitted for another assignment without referencing it correctly.
