I’m an acting and performance student in the UK in 3rd year undergraduate. I performed a draft of my PAR personal performance like other students and some draft details which may be mentioned when needed (please check the attached you do not have to read the example essays but please do read the powerpoints as they are very short and explain the instructions needed) In terms of said draft performance I did a rakugo performance that yielded positive responses from the audience in terms of the comedic nature of rakugo and they were able to understand my explainations of rakugo humor and differences in Language and concept in Japanese when compared to English. The audience found it really funny and I recieved a lot of personal feedback that were compeltely positive and from the draft alone I made substantial success when it came to localising rakugo and seeing if it made sense for a non-japanese audience when I explain the original rakugo stories and then invent a western localisation. I used Jugemu Jugemu as one performance which I localised. It’s also worth noting that ” Absolutely NOT an evaluation of your piece (except in relation to the essay title)” such as it says in the powerpoint I posted below.
In the attached below has powerpoints on what is needed for the essay and also some pdf examples of PAR essays. Also 30 sources is not needed but please do as many sources as you’d like or think is best.
