Scenario
As a lead teacher in your program you see assessment as essential to supporting children’s development and informing your instructional practice. One of your professional goals this year is to compare observation documentation and assessment approaches to improve the alignment with the age of the child, desired data, and program requirements.
You plan on providing a comparison chart of assessment methods and models during your upcoming teaching evaluation with your administrator.
Instructions
Step One: Conduct Research
Conduct research to compare 6 assessment methods/models from this course. You must choose 2 assessment methods/models from each category below for a total of 6.

Step Two: Create a Comparison Chart
Create a comparison chart to provide the following information for each method/model in a chart format. Content must be original writing and not copied and pasted into the chart.
- Name of method/model and category
- Description of the method/model
- Ages of the children intended for use
- When the method/model should be used
- Description for how the method/model would be used, including who completes the method/model
- Explain 2 benefits of the methods/models
- Explain 2 questions you have or challenges you might face in using the methods/models
- At least one APA formatted reference citation for each method/model
Submission Requirements
- Submit one comparison chart with original content as per assignment directions for 6 methods/models
- Uses professional language with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Submit the comparison chart as a Word document.
