Describing the discrimination women face in ice hockey, based on angela James’ experience

Each member will identify a primary source related to the project (photographs, video,
archival document, artefact, newspaper article, etc.), describe provenance and/or production,
and contextualize it to and establish what it can tell us – (3-4 pages max. per person)
Describe then establish its relevance as historical evidence for your topic. What can
you learn from it? (e.g., you can use a lens to help frame that source: class,
citizenship, immigration, colonization, ethnicity, gender, sex, race, or sexuality)
The primary source may be from your own family history (e.g., project on Canada’s
cricket history could prompt you to use a photograph of a great auntie playing cricket
in the 1950s to demonstrate who played and under what conditions)

iii. 3. You can use academic and non-academic material in this analysis. But be careful—
your sources need to be legitimate: The Canadian Encyclopedia is legitimate.
Wikipedia or a random Reddit page is not.
How to find primary sources? StFX’s Library has some good resources for finding primary
resources here but these resources may also be useful:
i. Family
ii. Home community archives
iii. Secondary source references
iv. Archives Canada: https://archivescanada.accesstomemory.ca/
v. CBC Archives: https://www.cbc.ca/archives

Together, identify minimum 3 secondary peer reviewed sources on your subject and
discuss the following: (3-4 pages max. for the group)
What sources did the secondary sources use and how do they compare to those your
group used?
How do the primary sources’ analyses expand the secondary source’s scope—e.g.,
participants, locations, timeline, socio-cultural factors, and/or whose voice we hear,? here are the  instrtions and my primary source is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IWD9nwm5jw
