- All of the Lecture PowerPoints are uploaded below. The essential reading for each week is listed in a file called ‘Reading IMC’. This assignment mainly focuses on week 7 of legislation. Sustainability is the key to this course and is emphasized by the Professor.
- Discuss and
evaluate key issues relating to sustainability, ethics and legislation, which you
would recommend marketers to consider when planning an IMC campaign. You should
consider how sustainability, ethics and legislation impact upon marketing
communications practice by setting parameters within which marketers implement
IMC campaigns, in a business context. You can choose to discuss these issues in
the context of business-to-consumer (B2C) or business-to-business (B2B) or both
of these markets. Specific laws that are relevant to marketers (e.g. regarding
the Sale of Goods) should be identified and discussed within a country (or
countries) of your choice. You should also evaluate how organisations can
lessen their social and environmental sustainability impacts and encourage
sustainable behaviour in others by influencing suppliers and educating
customers via IMC. This individual assignment contributes 60% of the assessment
for this module. Within the assignment you must provide evidence that you
have read publications recommended to you during the module, as well as your
own further reading.
