Task description:
The current Bishops Mandate Letter (2009-2015) is to be replaced in the near future by a new Bishops’
Mandate Letter. You have been selected by the Catholic Bishops of Western Australia to contribute your
perspective on the future formation of Catholic school communities. 
The Bishops have asked that you identify
some of the ‘Signs of the Times’ to be included in the new Mandate Letter. 
Discuss how a Catholic school leader is seen to be both integral and prophetic in assisting students, parents
and parish in identifying some of the ‘signs of the times’ in the Church’s ongoing mission of Evangelisation.
The paper will need to outline a vision of Catholic education in the context of the Church’s mission of
Evangelisation that will address the current and future formational challenges of Catholic school
communities.  
This has to be written from the perspective of a leader in 3 year old – 12 year old education (called Primary school) in a catholic school in western australia. 
The bishops mandate is the most improtant document listed below as this is the document they are saying is to be re written and improved.
