For your first paragraph, read Charlesworth’s “Philosophy as Making Room for Faith” and discuss the issues of agnosticism vs. faith, and agnosticism as a path to faith, in any two of the thinkers he covers in more detail (esp. Al-Ghazzali, Pascal, Hume, Kant, and Kierkegaard). 

For the second paragraph, check-out the lecture notes on Hegel, Hölderlin, and Schelling on religion. Either write on those, or focus on Schelling’s attempt at a popular dialogue Clara: Or, on Nature and the Spirit-World (the more ‘popular’ option).
